Lake Mead

We decided to take a break from the moving and packing and head to Lake Mead for Memorial weekend. We stayed in the campground, which was way different for this group... it WAS nice though, to hook up to the water and power! The campground was about 1 mile from the lake though... which wasn't ideal. :)

On Saturday morning, the guys headed out to fish while all the women and children slept in at camp. :) We decided to head out on Michelle's boat right about the time the guys were heading in to camp. I left Aiden with Bob and took the other two out on the boat.  Brooklyn was scared out of her mind!! She is used to my mom's pontoon boat that doesn't tilt from side to side when you turn. It took her a good 30 minutes to stop freaking out or even get off my lap!  Once we stopped to let the kids get on the tube, she finally realized it was going to be ok and the boat wasn't going to tip over. :)

The kids had such a fun time riding the tube. Brooklyn never did get on it, but all the rest did. I was really proud of Kason for being brave enough to ride it! :)

Once we got back for lunch we decided to relax a little bit. Everyone else took a nap... :) By the evening the wind really started to pick up.  We decided it wouldn't be safe to go out on the boat so we went down to the dock to try and do some shore fishing.  It was still too windy so nobody caught anything.  Kim found a rattlesnake though... the kids thought that was interesting. :)

The wind blew through the night and all through the next day.  It was too windy to even go out on the water so we basically hung out in the trailer most of the day.  By the time it was calming down, it was time for us to hit the road. :)
Look at these dirty faces! :)
